Samuel Eto’o, a legendary player for Cameroon, thinks an African team can win the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The FIFA World Cup has never seen an African team advance past the quarterfinals. At the Italia ’90 and Korea/Japan ’02 tournaments, Cameroon and Senegal both advanced to the quarterfinals, while Ghana did the same at the South Africa ’10 tournament.
Eto’o thinks that one of the African nations can win the World Cup in this edition since they have adequate experience.
GetfootballNewsFrance.com cited Eto’o as saying, “Africa has always had the capacity to have excellent World Cups, but we haven’t always showed our best side up to now.”
“African teams have gained more and more experience over the previous several years. They are capable of not just competing in this World Cup, but also winning it, in my opinion.

At four FIFA World Cup finals—the France ’98, Korea/Japan (2002), South Africa (2010), and Brazil (2014)—Eto’o represented the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
Africa will be represented at the Qatar 2022 World Cup by Cameroon, Ghana, Morocco, Tunisia, and Senegal.
