Man City still have an advantage over the Gunners in the race for the Premier League championship, according to Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal.
Recall that the Gunners defeated Liverpool 3-2 on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium to reclaim first place in the standings.
While Arsenal dominated the first half of their match with the Reds, Arteta wasn’t entirely satisfied with his team’s performance.
He was much more pleased with the manner his players attacked the game after delivering some tough comments to his team during the half.
Arteta responded to Sky Sports’ inquiry on if Arsenal was prepared to compete against the reigning champions by saying, “They [Man City] are really strong, they have done that for five years and we have not done that.”
When asked about the performance of the rookie forward, Arteta stated his satisfaction with Martinelli’s growth over the previous 12 months.
