Former Liverpool player Steve McManaman has warned his previous club not to sign Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah.
McManaman believes Nketiah is unfit to play for Liverpool and will not contest Jurgen Klopp’s current front five.
Nketiah’s contract at the Emirates Stadium is coming to an end, and he could play his final game for the club against Everton on Sunday.
After turning down numerous contract offers, the 22-year-old appears set to leave the Gunners this summer.
“I don’t think he’s good enough for Liverpool, to be honest.” “I like Eddie Nketiah, but he’s not going to dismantle any of that Liverpool front five, and the club has an academy full of centre forwards, so I don’t see this move happening,” McManaman told Horseracing.
“Mikel Arteta has selected him regularly recently, but he didn’t seem interested in him not long ago.” He only needs to work hard and keep getting better.”
“[Alexandre] Lacazette may leave on a free transfer this summer, so there may be space for him to continue with Arsenal,” he added. But he needs to know whether his manager intends to bring in two or three forwards.”

Playing style
Nketiah’s pace and movement have drawn comparisons to former Arsenal striker Ian Wright. Wright was described as his “mentor” by him in August 2019.
His movement to play off the last defender’s shoulder and his sharp shooting ability from all angles drew comparisons to Jermain Defoe’s.
Nketiah can play as a striker or a wide forward, and he describes his own playing style as ‘I’m a striker, I’m brave, I like to put myself in places where chances will fall.’
