Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, has stated that the club has no ambitions to sign PSG star Kylian Mbappe this season.
Guillem Balague, a Spanish football analyst, made this allegation.
Balague mentioned this in a message on Friday night via his Twitter handle.
Perez, according to him, briefed Real Madrid’s team about the issue in the locker room following their 0-0 LaLiga draw with Real Betis on Friday.
This follows a week of conflicting reports over Mbappe’s fate.
Mbappe’s current PSG contract is set to expire at the conclusion of the season.
The 23-year-old has been heavily linked to Real Madrid but has yet to commit to the French Ligue 1 winners.
“I’ve just been told that Florentino Pérez has told the players in the changing room tonight that Mbappé is NOT coming,” he tweeted.
“Let’s see what Mbappe has to say before we make any decisions.”
