Manuel Neuer’s contract with Bayern Munich has been extended for another one year, extending his stay at the Allianz Arena until 2024.

In 2021/22, Neuer continued to impress in goal for Die Roten, making a number of characteristic stunning saves and keeping 14 clean sheets across all competitions.

The Germany international’s contract was supposed to expire in June 2023, but he will remain at Bayern for at least another two years thanks to this extension.

“I’m very glad that my career continues with FC Bayern,” Neuer stated after signing the contract. We’ll have a really excellent team again, capable of competing for every championship.

“I want to be the support and a significant part in our big goals as a goalkeeper, captain, and leader.” We want to keep our winning streak going and challenge for the DFB Cup and Champions League once more.”

Neuer joined Bayern Munich from Schalke in 2011 and has since won numerous accolades, including ten Bundesliga titles and two Champions League titles.

Another league title came at the end of 2021/22, a season in which Neuer surpassed fellow goalkeeper and Bayern legend Oliver Kahn’s previous record for most victories in the Bundesliga.
