FC Porto, the newly crowned Portuguese league champions, have confirmed the signing of talented Nigerian forward Abraham Marcus on a one-year loan with a purchase option.

Marcus, a former Portimonense player, joins Porto on loan from Radomiak Radom in Poland, where he also signed a loan deal and made eight appearances.

Due to the start of the new season, the 22-year-old will join Porto’s B team.

Marcus informed the club’s website, fcporto.pt, that he is excited about his move to Porto.

He is overjoyed to have arrived in a good location where he will be able to display all of his abilities, and he hopes to do his best.

“I am ecstatic to be a member of this organization. FC Porto is a great place to be, and I intend to give it my all here.

“I used to play against FC Porto B in the Segunda Liga, so I’m thrilled to get the opportunity to represent the club.” I’m looking forward to a successful season.”

“I am a brilliant player,” Marcus continued, “and I aim to demonstrate it on the pitch and show why FC Porto invested on me.”

“This season, I’ll attempt to score more goals, and I’ll always give my all for the squad.”

“I am here to join you and I count on your support this year,” he says of what he expects from the club’s supporters.

Marcus was included to former Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr’s 31-man group for a double header friendly against Cameroon on May 14, 2021.

On June 4, 2021, he made his senior international debut in a 1-0 loss to Cameroon for the Eagles.
