Serie A – Napoli wants PSG’s goalkeeper to assist them in the Champions League.

Gianluigi Donnarumma and Keylor Navas are competing for playing time as the goalkeepers for Paris Saint-Germain. But given that both players are accustomed to being undisputed starters, it will be challenging to imagine them being content with splitting time come next season.

If it happens this summer, Navas is probably the candidate the capital club will move on from. Napoli, who will compete in the UEFA Champions League this coming season, is reportedly interested in the 35-year-old, according to La Repubblica (via Futbol Centro America).

Napoli is in need of a goalkeeper with extensive experience, which the Costa Rican international would bring to the Italian club. Recently, the Serie A club parted ways with starting goalkeeper David Ospina.

Additionally, since Costa Rica is now competing in the FIFA World Cup, Navas might not want to share the starting goalkeeping spot because he probably wants to be in top form for the competition later this year.

Navas has a €8 million transfer value and a contract that lasts until 2024, so that is a potential cost. The wages and whether Napoli will agree to pay his annual salary of €7.5 million will be the sticking point.
