loanee Alex receives treatment in Brazil training after hefty challenge from Neymar

Following a strong challenge from Neymar during yesterday’s Brazil training session, Manchester United loanee Alex Telles needed medical attention.

Not only the 29-year-old, who will spend the 2022–23 campaign on loan at La Liga team Sevilla, required medical treatment after the last training session for Tite’s team.

The Newcastle United player Bruno Guimaraes also hobbled to the sidelines after a hectic workout for the physiotherapists and medical personnel of Brazil.

Whether Telles and Guimaraes are well enough to take part in today’s training session is still up in the air.

Brazil is presently practicing in Turin before departing for Qatar, so it is obvious that none of Tite’s 26-man team is taking things easy in preparation for the World Cup.

However, as we tragically witnessed with France’s Christopher Nkunku, who was forced to withdraw from the competition after suffering an injury during Les Bleus training when tackling Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga, it only takes one errant tackle to end a player’s World Cup hopes.

After being severely challenged by Neymar, Alex Telles is treated while training in Brazil.

The former Porto left-back Telles is one of four Manchester United players nominated to Tite’s squad, along with Fred, Casemiro, and Antony.

The number 27 of United decided to go on loan to Sevilla in order to play first team football and advance his chances of playing in a World Cup.

The Juventus’ Alex Sandro and the eight-time Brazil international will face off for a position in Tite’s starting lineup.

The five-time World Cup champions were placed in Group G with Switzerland, Cameroon, and Serbia.
