In August the Champions League will make a return with the competition to be held from August 7-31.

UEFA is expected to outline its preparations for the return of Europe’s premier competition in the days ahead.

Italia sky Sport states that the plan is for the Europa and Champions League to start from 7 August, only after the immediate conclusion of the respective domestic leagues.

The competition will then go through the quarter-finals, semi-finals and the one-off finals every three days.

The 2020-21 seasonal Champions League group stages will not begin until October 20 as a result of the rearranged calendar.
