Jos\u00e9 Bordal\u00e1s, the head coach of Getafe, has stated that he opposes Chrisantus Uche, a Nigerian international, departing.<\/p>\n

Bordalas made this statement following Getafe’s 2-1 victory over Sevilla on the road in Monday’s La Liga match.<\/p>\n

Uche is still a key component of Bordal\u00e1s’ ambitions, and he cautioned that letting him go would cause serious issues for the team.<\/p>\n

Uche is anticipated to sign a five-year contract with Wolves, and the two teams are almost in agreement on a sum of little less than \u20ac20 million.<\/p>\n

Even though it looked like he was going to leave, Uche played the entire ninety minutes against Sevilla.<\/p>\n

We can only hope he stays. After the match against Sevilla, Bordalas stated, “I’m against him leaving; he’s a very important player, and this gets harder every day.”<\/p>\n

“Without understanding our players, we can’t start from scratch every season. We have a major issue if Uche departs. I recognise the circumstances, but we cannot be forced to part with a player of Uche’s calibre.<\/p>\n

\u00c1ngel Torres, the president of Getafe, acknowledged Uche’s predicament and acknowledged that he had no option but to sell due to financial restrictions.<\/p>\n

Uche made 33 appearances in La Liga last season, contributing four goals and six assists.<\/p>\n

He will play for the Super Eagles in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against South Africa and Rwanda next month.<\/p>\n

He was a member of the May Unity Cup-winning Super Eagles team.<\/p>\n
