After helping Spartak Moscow win their first Russian Cup victory since 2003, former Nigerian international Victor Moses has been praised.

In a dramatic final on Sunday, the Russian giant beat local rivals Dinamo Moscow 2-1 to win its 14th Cup.

Moses played 90 minutes for Spartak Moscow, winning his first trophy.

“Another trophy for Victor Mose, what an amazing footballer,” the club tweeted in response to Moses’ performance.

“You are my hero,” I declare.

Since entering the Russian Premier League, Moses has finally won his first trophy.

He won the FA Cup and the Europa League during his time at Chelsea.

In 34 appearances in all competitions this season, he scored three goals and added five assists.

Aleksandr Sobolev of Spartak Moscow scored the game’s first goal in the 10th minute.

Dinamo Moscow equalized ten minutes into the second half, thanks to Arsen Zakharyan.

Spartak Moscow took the lead for the second time in the 72nd minute, this time through Quincy Promes’ boot.

Dinamo Moscow were handed a penalty and had a perfect opportunity to equalize, but Daniil Fomin missed it nine minutes into additional time.
