Tuesday’s friendly match between Fenebahce and the Nigerian Flamingos ended in a 3-1 loss for Fenebahce.
The match served as a part of the Flamingos’ training for the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India.
Etim Edidiong scored for the Flamingos, but Busan Seker scored twice and Nina Kpaho scored in stoppage time to give the Turkish club the victory.
Seker scored the game’s first goal in the third minute and added a second with ten minutes remaining.
Prior to Kpaho scoring Fenerbahce’s third goal in the 93rd minute, Edidiong had pulled a goal back for the Flamingos in the 90th minute.
In their first friendly match in Turkey three days ago, the team led by Bankole Olowookere defeated Galatasaray 3-1.
Group B includes the Nigerian girls along with Germany, Chile, and New Zealand.
