Josh Maja, a forward with the Super Eagles, has won the Ligue 2 Player of the Month honor for October.
Maja received praise for his outstanding efforts for Girondis Bordeaux during the month.
The former Stoke City player won the individual award ahead of two other competitors, Gautier Lloris of Le Havre AC and Julien Maggiotti of Stade Lavallois.
This season, the 23-year-old has been in fantastic form with Les Girondis.

In 15 appearances for his team this season, the striker has seven goals and three assists.
Since April 2009, Maja is the first Girondis Bordeaux player to receive the honor.
Last year, Bordeaux was demoted from the French first division.
