Aina Nears Recovery From Hamstring Injury

Torino defender Ola Aina will return to training soon after a short break due to an injury.

A hamstring ailment forced Aina to miss more than six weeks of action.

The 26-year-old sustained the injury on October 23 during Torino’s 2-1 victory over Udinese on the road.

In the dramatic match at the Dacia Arena, the Nigerian international scored his first goal of the year.

The setback has caused the versatile defender to miss Torino’s last four league games.

Aina was also absent from last Thursday’s 4-0 friendly loss to La Selecao of Portugal for Nigeria.

Torino Granata claims that the former Chelsea academy product is recovering more quickly than initially predicted. The ex-Fulham player will soon begin participating in Torino’s first team practices, according to the report.

Aina will now go to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on November 28 to join the rest of his team members who were not selected for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
