For the 2025–2026 season, Nottingham Forest has signed Douglas Luiz, a midfielder for Juventus, on loan.
The 27-year-old only moved to Juventus from Aston Villa in the summer of 2024, but he hasn’t done well in Turin, and several Premier League teams have expressed interest in signing him this transfer window.
The race to sign him has been won by Forest, and the deal has a conditional obligation to become permanent during the transfer window next summer.
Luiz stated on Forest’s official website: “I am really happy to be here. I chose to come here because I can see the ambition the Club has. It’s a big club.” I am ecstatic to join the squad and give it my all for the supporters and the shirt.
Ross Wilson, the chief football officer, continued, saying: “We’ve had a very busy but successful window in recent weeks, and Douglas is another addition to the squad that will bring significant quality to the group.”
He’s been playing at the top level for a while, is familiar with the Premier League’s requirements, and has competed in top European competitions. We are happy that Douglas has joined the team and are confident that everyone at Nottingham Forest will welcome him.
During the 2024–25 season, Luiz made 204 appearances for Villa, tallying 22 goals and 24 assists. He also made 27 appearances for Juventus.
Onana of Everton ‘wanted’ by Saudi Pro League said Al-Ahli
Before the summer transfer window ends, Al-Ahli is allegedly interested in signing Amadou Onana, a midfielder for Aston Villa.
Although the Saudi Pro League has not yet contacted Aston Villa to explore a trade, journalist Ben Jacobs claims that Al-Ahli has added the Belgium international to its transfer shortlist.
The 24-year-old joined Villa Park from Everton in the summer transfer window and has made 35 appearances for his new team, scoring five goals.
During Villa’s 2025–26 Premier League debut against Newcastle United last weekend, Onana played the entire ninety minutes and is considered an essential member of Unai Emery’s team.
But it appears like Al-Ahli is getting ready to put the Premier League team to the test with a big transfer bid.
Fulham Target Basel Forward Otele in Cut-Price Deal
Philip Otele, an attacker for Basel, is reportedly a target for Fulham before the summer transfer window closes.
At least one player is anticipated to be signed in that area of the pitch before the window closes, as Fulham head coach Marco Silva is attempting to increase his forward options for the 2025–26 season.
GIVEMESPORT claims that Otele is being considered by the London club and that there is a market opportunity because the 26-year-old is reportedly available for less than €15 million (£13 million).
With 27 appearances for Basel across all competitions, Otele has an outstanding record of 12 goals and 6 assists.
According to reports, Eintracht Frankfurt is also considering the Nigerian, thus Fulham will likely have competition for the forward in the closing days of the transfer window.
Even if Rodrigo Muniz stays, Fulham is rumoured to be able to add two more attackers before the end of the market.
