According to Kingspredict.com, Barthelemy Ngatsono, the head coach of Congo, believes his team must give it their best in order to defeat Nigeria.
The Congolese team needs to defeat Éric Chelle’s team in order to advance to the 2024 African Nations Championship quarterfinals.
Only two points were earned by Ngatsono’s team in their first two matches against Senegal, the reigning champions, and Sudan.
For Congo, it’s win or lose.
Ngatsono saw the encounter as a matter of survival.
He proclaimed, “There is no alternative to victory,” establishing the tone for a crucial match that would preserve their hopes of making it to the quarterfinals.
Ngatsono’s regard for Nigeria
After dropping their opening two games against Senegal and Sudan, Nigeria will be competing for dignity.
The West Africans are trying to finish their campaign on a high note, but Ngatsono is sceptical.
“Nigeria is like a wounded lion, but we respect them,” he continued.
“We need to remain focused and sharp because they will play with pride.”
Absence of Innovation
Despite acknowledging his team’s offensive shortcomings just one goal in two games the Congolese coach is nevertheless optimistic.
“On the pitch, everything will be decided. We possess the will and spirit to achieve the desired outcome,” he said.
