Eze Transfer to Arsenal Nears Completion

The transfer of Crystal Palace star, Eberechi Eze to Arsenal is almost finalised this summer.

Arsenal had a successful 2024–25 season, finishing second in the Premier League for the third straight year and making it to the Champions League semi-finals.

But even with all of their strong showings, the Gunners failed to win any hardware this season.

In an attempt to finally lead Arsenal across the finish line, Mikel Arteta, whose most recent title at the Emirates came in 2020, has been in charge of six new signings this summer.

In addition to bringing in defender Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia and winger Noni Madueke from Chelsea, the Gunners have added the seasoned pair of Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga as squad depth.

However, Arsenal is still looking to recruit players, and its two most important acquisitions to date have been striker Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon and midfielder Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad.

It appears that the North London team is now moving closer to signing another important target.

Arsenal has been interested in Eze throughout the summer, as have other Premier League teams.

The number 10 has been a vital component of Oliver Glasner’s system since the Austrian joined Crystal Palace in 2020 and has steadily grown into one of the Premier League’s most dependable playmakers.

Eze, 27, is starting to reach the peak of his career after scoring the lone goal in Palace’s victory over Man City in the FA Cup final the previous season.

Arsenal is willing to pay £55 million for Eze, with £30 million of that sum being paid up front, according to FootballTransfers (via GIVEMESPORT). The Gunners would be thrilled to have the England international.

According to reports, Palace won’t let Eze to leave until they’ve at least chosen someone to replace their FA Cup hero.

Although they still have young Matheus Franca on their roster, the Brazilian has had trouble staying healthy since coming to England.

In addition to players like Gyokeres and Zubimendi, Eze might be a fantastic acquisition to Arsenal as they want to win some hardware once more.
