Valentine Ozornwafor’s invitation to the upcoming international friendly between Nigeria and the Algerian Desert Foxes has been confirmed by French Ligue 2 club Sochaux.

One appearance for the Super Eagles was made by the center-back.

Semi Ajayi and Kenneth Omeruo, two of the Super Eagles’ regular center backs, won’t play in this match.

Ajayi had surgery this week to treat a knee injury, and it is anticipated that he will be sidelined for about a month.

Omeruo, a player for Leganes of Spain’s Segunda Division, is also sidelined with an injury.

On t he club’s official website, a statement is posted that reads, “Valentine Ozornwafor has been called up to Nigeria’s squad for the upcoming international break.”

On September 27 in Oran, the Super Eagles will take on Algeria in a friendly game.

The Sochaux defender has three selections for his national team, which he will join on September 19.

This summer, Ozornwafor transferred from Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray to Sochaux on a one-year loan.

This year, the defender has played three league games for his team.
