
Although the Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has barely left London in the past six months, he might be returning soon.
The representatives of Chelsea met with Aubameyang on Thursday night to discuss a possible transfer for him while they were in Barcelona. Fabrizio Romano claims that the meeting went well and that the player is pleased to join the Blues this summer.
It now seems likely that the negotiations will begin. In order to sign him, Barcelona is reportedly demanding €30 million, but Xavi Hernandez has insisted that he wants to keep Aubameyang.

Although negotiations between the clubs are about to start, a sale would benefit Barcelona and give them some breathing room with their salary cap.
A deal seems inevitable even though it seems unlikely that Chelsea would offer €30 million for the 33-year-old. It’s important to keep in mind that Barcelona hasn’t signed Jules Kounde yet and is reportedly still interested in signing Marcos Alonso.
