Tottenham Hotspur have had a successful start to the season, securing three wins and a draw from their first four games after strengthening their team during the summer transfer window.
The north London club appears to have stopped making fresh acquisitions and is now attempting to unload players who are not part of Antonio Conte’s plans for this season.
Harry Winks and Sergio Reguilón are two of them, and Tottenham manager Fabio Paratici is working to find them new homes.
Three days ago, TuttoMercatoWeb reported that talks to transfer the 26-year-old to Sampdoria are progressing as planned. Before the transfer market ends on Thursday, the Serie A team has made headway in its pursuit of the midfielder.
Carlo Osti, the club’s technical director, claims as much. He claimed to have an agreement in place with Spurs to sign Winks in a statement to Sky Italia.

Osti was quoted by SampNews24 saying, “We have an agreement with Tottenham, we are defining the last details with the agents, and we aim to finalize as soon as possible.
Osti didn’t say whether Sampdoria will purchase Winks or simply loan him to them. According to an earlier rumor from TMW, he would go from Spurs on a temporary basis.
