
First Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Felix Anyansi-Agwu has been chosen.
At the NFF’s 78th Annual General Assembly and Elective Congress, held on Friday in Benin City, Edo State, Anyansi-Agwu was elected as the organization’s new first vice president.
Remember that Amaju Pinnick stepped down as president of the NFF on Friday and was replaced by Ibrahim Gusau, a former chairman of the Nigeria Football Committee and the president of the Zamfara State Football Association.
The Senate Committee on Youth and Sports Development’s chairman, Obinna Ogba, was defeated by the long-serving chairman of Enyimba by a vote of 23 to 8.
Yusuf Ahmed Fresh and Sharif Rabiu Inuwa both had an easy time selecting slots from the North West for the position of Chairman of Chairmen because neither faced any competition.
In a run-off election, incumbent Mohammed Alkali lost to Margaret Icheen of the North Central zone by a margin of 22 to 19, just as incumbent Babagana Kalli and challenger Timothy Henman Magaji won their respective contests in the North-East.

The two South-South seats were won by Essien Udofot and Aisha Falode after a run-off in which first-round leader Poubeni Ogun was disqualified with seven votes and Essien received 19 votes to Falode’s 13 in favor.
On a technicality, the race for the South-East zone’s seats was put on hold, but Sunday Dele-Ajayi from the South West rejoined the NFF Board at the same time Ganiyu Majekodunmi kept his position.
