Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum has unveiled his 25-woman team for the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in Morocco in 2022. Plumptre, Oshoala, Ordega were also selected.

On Friday, the Nigeria Football Federation’s (NFF) official Twitter account posted the final roster.

According to Waldrum, Asisat Oshoala, Onome Ebi, Ashleigh Plumptre, Francisca Ordega, Chiamaka Nnadozie, Osinachi Ohale, and Rasheedat Ajibade are at the top of the list.

Halimatu Ayinde, Gift Monday, Tochukwu Oluehi, Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene, Toni Payne, and Rita Chikwelu are among others who are also included.

Banyana Banyana of South Africa, Botswana, and Burundi are also in Group C alongside the Falcons.

Having defeated South Africa on penalties in the 2018 edition in Ghana, they will face them in the tournament opener.

In addition, after winning in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2014, 2016, and 2018, they will be aiming for a record-extending 10th African title.

For the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which Australia and New Zealand will co-host, the 2022 WAFCON also serves as a qualifying tournament.
