Under attack After recently adding Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella to their backline, Premier League rival Chelsea has revealed a shocking interest in Manchester United captain Harry Maguire.
The Mail reports that Chelsea has made an unexpected approach for Maguire and that the Blues are willing to sign the center back as part of a swap deal that could see Christian Pulisic go the other way.
The Red Devils are prepared to investigate whether Pulisic would be available on loan in the final two weeks of the transfer window. They have already expressed a strong interest in him.
As part of United’s deal for Pulisic, Chelsea has now brought up the possibility of signing Maguire and moving him to west London.
According to the report, despite Leicester having already turned down two offers for the Frenchman, Fofana is still considered Chelsea’s top priority, and there is still hope that he can be signed.
