According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona’s 32-year-old star Miralem Pjanic , is willing to decrease his salary in order to stay with the club.

Juventus paid Barcelona €60 million for the 32-year-old in September 2020. Arthur also signed with the Bianconeri in a separate €76 million agreement.

The central midfielder has had trouble adjusting to life in Catalonia after spending last season on loan at Besiktas. For the Blaugrana, he has made 30 appearances in all competitions, although he has yet to score or assist.

The player has been added to the transfer list in accordance with the aforementioned report. However, no official approach for him has been made because of his hefty salaries. Pjanic is apparently aware that Xavi does not have him on his roster, but he still hopes to get some playing time with him in 2022–23.

In order to collaborate with Xavi, who is rumored to be one of his all-time favorites, Pjanic is rumored to be willing to forego compensation. During Barcelona’s preseason tour of the United States, the midfielder made an impression on the team’s manager.

The Bosnia-Herzegovina player is hopeful that, at the very least until the winter transfer market opens, his preseason performances will help him obtain a few fair opportunities.

Pjanic is said to be content to play on the squad and learn from one of his heroes, even if he does not receive regular minutes. The former Juventus midfielder is officially committed to Barcelona until June 2024, but he hasn’t put any specific offers on the table.

Barcelona enters the Joan Gamper Trophy final in strong shape.
Barcelona always begins their new season by competing in the one-time Joan Gamper Trophy final. On August 7, they will face Mexican team Pumas UNAM in the friendly cup final. Barca will be overwhelming favorites in the encounter, which will be place at Camp Nou, thanks to their superb pre-season record.

They have yet to lose a pre-season match this year, having won four and drawn one. Their finest achievement came on July 19, when they defeated Inter Miami 6-0. The 1-0 triumph over Real Madrid on July 23 was, without a doubt, their most rewarding victory.
