Injury may prevent Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa from playing in the team’s upcoming friendly match against the Algerian Desert Foxes, according to Kingspredict.com.
Musa sustained an injury during Sivasspor’s 2-1 Turkish Super Lig loss to Ankaragucu on Sunday evening.
In the 19th minute, winger Clinton N’Jie of Cameroon took over for the 29-year-old.
Later today, the extent of the injury will be known.
Coach Jose Peseiro included Musa in the 25-man roster for the match on Saturday.
Leon Balogun and Henry Onyekuru’s participation in the contest has already been ruled impossible due to injuries.
As a stand-in for the pair, Peseiro has already recalled Valentine Ozornwafor and Emmanuel Dennis.
On Tuesday, September 27, a friendly matchup with Algeria is scheduled at the Miloud Hadefi Stadium in Oran.
