Super Eagles defender Zaidu Sanusi is in high spirits after winning the Primeira Liga and Taça de Portugal with FC Porto this past season.
Sanusi was influential in Porto winning the Portuguese league title. He scored a last-gasp goal against Benfica earlier this month to help his team win their 30th league title, his third of the season.
On Sunday, the left-back assisted the club to accomplish a double by defeating Tondela in the Portuguese Cup.
At Estadio Nacional in Oeiras, the Dragons defeated Tondela 3-1, and the Nigerian was once again in the midst of the action, playing the entire 90 minutes.
Sanusi took to social media to share his joy over the accomplishment in the recently finished season.
He commented on Twitter, “What a magical way to close the season; tremendous team effort alhamdulilah masha Allah vamos @fcporto.”
Sanusi scored three goals in 40 appearances for Porto in the 2012/13 season.
He is a member of Nigeria’s international friendly squads against Mexico and Ecuador.
