Victor Osimhen, a standout striker for the Super Eagles, can develop into a special striker, according to Napoli head coach Luciano Spalletti.
Napoli’s 1-0 victory over AS Roma featured another goal from Osimhen, who also scored the game-winning goal.
Chris Smalling, a former Manchester United defender, was outmuscled by Osimhen with 10 minutes left to play, and Osimhen then volleyed from a tight angle.
He has now scored in three straight games, bringing his league-wide goal total to three.
Osimhen has these abrupt changes in tempo that can only be done by him, Spalletti said in a statement to DAZN. He will become amazing if he manages his emotions.
He sometimes attempts to handle everything alone and attacks the goal and the ball without taking into account where his teammates are. However, he is physically strong and we require him to complete the squad, including in the air.
