After scoring his first goal for Sky Bet Championship team Watford this year, William Troost-Ekong is in a good mood.

On Sunday at Vicarage Road, Troost-Ekong scored in the Hornets’ 4-0 thrashing of rival Luton Town.

Just before halftime, the center back scored from close range after Keinan Davis had given the Hornets the lead.

The additional goals for Slaven Bilic’s team came from forwards Joao Pedro and Ismaila of Senegal.

According to Troost-Ekong, “I’m still buzzing to be honest; the adrenaline is still going and it’s everything we wanted from the game today.

“The dressing room is currently a party. When we all gathered this morning, we talked about a wide range of topics. We told the men, “Guys, talk is cheap; it’s time to act.”

“[Scoring] was great. When it went in, I was a little confused as to how to celebrate and I was just buzzing. All goals are important, and I almost put the ball over when I shot it into the roof of the net from about a meter away.

Six league games for Watford have seen the 29-year-old play.
