Alex Iwobi, a midfielder for the Super Eagles, is keen to sign a long-term deal with Premier League outfit Everton.

Iwobi has two years left on his deal with the Toffees after moving from Arsenal to Goodison Park in 2019.

According to reports, Everton and his representatives have begun negotiating the parameters of a new deal.

The 26-year-old is expected to sign a new five-year contract with the Merseysiders.

The Nigerian has said that continuing to be a member of the team is his first objective.

“With this club, I aim to win as many things as I can. The club was and still is tremendously ambitious, which is why I came here. Iwobi said to the ECHO, “I’d prefer to stay.

Iwobi, along with Vitali Mykolenko, James Tarkowski, and Demarai Gray, are the only four players to have started each of Everton’s 13 games this season in the Premier League.

He has one goal and six assists to his credit.
