Marcus Rashford, a striker for Manchester United, is expected to participate in the Manchester City derby on Sunday.

He hasn’t played since leaving with a limp during Manchester United’s 3-1 victory over Arsenal at the beginning of September, citing the injury as the cause of his exclusion from the England squad.

But according to The Sun, he is succeeding in his race against time to be healthy in time for his team’s crucial match against Manchester City on Sunday.

Due to a hamstring injury, Rashford has missed two games, both in the Europa League.

He sustained the injury while trying to get back into form for Erik ten Hag after scoring twice against Arsenal at Old Trafford.

After being left out of the England squad for the Nations League matches against Germany and Italy, he tweeted on September 15: “Every player wants to represent their country when it comes to England, and that includes me! Unfortunately, I haven’t quite recovered yet from an unfortunate injury.”

If Rashford had been healthy, it’s unknown if he would have been selected for the team.
