Ajax, the Eredivisie champions, has quickly replaced Erik ten Hag with Alfred Schreuder.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the 49-year-old is set to sign a two-year contract with Amsterdam-based Club Brugge.

However, when asked about the links after their game against Union, the tactician played them down.

“I don’t have an answer to this (Ajax links), I’m fully involved with Club Brugge.” I can’t deal with those rumors. We don’t know what will happen in the future. That Ajax is the champion? I’ve heard it. “Good for them,” he said.

Schreuder was a former assistant at Ajax (2018-19) and, more recently, at Barcelona under Ronald Koeman, while also playing for Feyenoord, NAC Breda, and Vitesse.
